Annual Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order December 8, 2016 at 7:07 p.m. in the 870 Inman Clubroom by Association Vice President, Brandon Burke. Quorum established.
Association President, C. J. Sinar, and Association Vice President, Brandon Burke, were each elected to another two- year term.
Chis Cox, Treasurer of the Board of Directors, presented the proposed budget and discussed the key areas of increase, followed by an open floor for questions and answers.
To maintain 870 Inman’s financial health and meet future necessary expenses the Board deems it necessary to initiate a modest increase in the monthly HOA dues effective January 2017. This initiative will be conducted in compliance with the procedures and rules set forth in the by-laws. As the building approaches ten years, the Board is also forecasting a special assessment in 2017 to offset costs of exterior issues with the building’s columns and cracking stucco.
Google Fiber updates were provided by Kristy Cowell, building property manager. At the request of Ms. Cowell and the Board, a Google executive recently canvassed the building and reviewed the current state of the installation and the lack of uniformity on each floor. The Google representative assured Ms. Cowell and Board members that the hallways will be restored and work completed in the next few weeks.
Commercial space updates were discussed. Amara is officially opened for business. A new tenant is expected to move in the additional retail space on March 1, 2017. The three commercial structures share a corridor which leads into 870 Inman’s hallway. As such, residents have voiced concern for more security cameras. The property manager has committed to securing quotes for additional surveillance cameras to ensure the safety and security of residents at 870 Inman.
Meeting adjourned at 8:29 p.m.
