The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the annual meeting of the 870 Inman Condominium Association will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 7:00 PM in the 870 Inman Clubroom.
The Board encourages you to attend this important meeting. At this meeting, we will adopt the budget for the upcoming year. We also will elect 5 directors at the meeting. We are currently reviewing the budget and will get copies to homeowners as soon as possible. If you are interested in running for a position on the board, please contact any board member or the property manager in writing by Monday, January 11, 2010. As you may recall at the last special meeting, the bylaws state that the board must be elected at the annual meeting after the residential declarant control period. This will be your opportunity to reaffirm your current selection for the board, or to elect new members.
We will take nominations for election of directors from the floor at the meeting. Additionally, there will be sign up sheets at the meeting for several important committees, and we encourage you to get involved in our community.
If you are unable to attend the annual meeting, or are unsure about whether you will attend, please complete the enclosed proxy form and proxy ballot and return it to any board member or to the property manager. If you provide a proxy and then attend the meeting, we will return your proxy to you at the meetings. If both forms are returned, the ballot will be used for the election of the board and your proxy will be used to vote in any other motion. We must establish a quorum to conduct business at the meeting, so it is important for you to attend or to provide a proxy. The quorum requirement for this meeting is 27 members or proxies.
Please note that the homeowners who are shown on the Associationss books or records as more than 30 days past due in assessments or charges will be ineligible to vote or to run for a seat on the Board of Directors. To verify that you are in good standing or that you are shown as the owner on the Associationss records, please contact the property manager, Kristy Cowell.
